WORD CHECK: What does the Word, that’s the #Bible say about that thing that feels so good to you? OK, be bold now!

Of course you wanna go into the Bible and see written in BRIGHT RED, “Oh baby, as long as it makes you feel goooood, then it’s My will for you.” But trust me, THAT’S NOT GONNA HAPPEN…Eeek…

Go in boldly and dare to discover the TRUTH about that ‘thing’, or stuff in the category of that ‘thing’ that you busy doing. When you discover it, make a choice.

Good, or God?

PROXIMITY CHECK: Does that ‘thing’ amp up your love for God? Does it make you indifferent to God? Does it crowd out your interest in God altogether?

“Every good and perfect gift comes from God”. If your ‘good-lookin thing’ leaves you less interested/indifferent to God, then it ain’t perfect … Hmmm…

DON’T BE FOOLED BY RESULTS! When something gets results it might mean it’s ‘good’ but it does not always mean it is from God. You can get good results from many ‘good’ and ‘not so good’ sources in this world. But not all sources are God’s solution for you. Circle back to my litmus test in Monday and Wednesday’s tips (Word Check and Proximity Check). Good results don’t always mean God-results.

After all is said and done, you’ve applied tips 1 to 3, but how do you let something so good go? How could God not be in it, when it feels so good?

Get support by 1) inching closer to God, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, and 2) by linking up with folk who are stronger in faith than you.
