GOD, RELATIONSHIPS, WORK, ME: HOW DO I BALANCE IT ALL?
CHOOSE NUMBER ONE 👆: Yes, my friends, first things first, choose the number one priority in your life and stick with it; this is the only way to reach for balance.
GOD being the source of all of life, and the lover of your soul, He must be number one💥.
Now, life is full of seasons, and in different seasons, we must prioritise different aspects of our lives. In some seasons, your family must be priority at all costs, whereas there are seasons where your family sacrifices for you to get ahead at work. But if God is always your number one, you make room for Him to ‘coach you’👨🏫 on how to balance the different aspects of your life in your different seasons, so that no part suffers, and all parts thrive💥!
WHAT IT REALLY MEANS TO BALANCE IT ALL: The biggest challenge in balancing life is that you think being balanced means to give equal time to all aspects of your life. Not true. Not possible.
With God as your Number 1 👆(see Monday’s tip) you’ll understand that every other aspect of your life centres around Him.
So as you work, play, do business, love, parent, if you do it as if in service of God, that is *drumroll * B-A-L-A-N-C-E, by definition. You see, when you do life with a mindset of doing all in service of God, this will shape your values and choices and therein you will find wisdom on how much time/energy/resources to allocate to each part of your life💥.
IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED: Guilt is the enemy of balance, and there’s plenty of guilt waiting at the end of each day that has been full of balancing fails.
Guilt is not from God😌. MERCY, HOPE AND GRACE, are from God. So when you’ve had a failed day, and the guilt settles in to torment you, reject it and turn your heart towards God 🙌.
He gives mercy and forgiveness for another failed day, hope that you can get that balance right, and grace, which is the supernatural power to live a balanced life. So once again, it comes down to GOD being Number 1 👆; the centre of your life (relationships, work, you). If He is not, burnout and guilt will follow you. If He is, you will increasingly experience grace to balance the life that He gave you as a gift🎁💥!
As always, I end this by saying, I am Coach Toyin, fully convicted by my own words and very much still under construction in the hands of the Father.
