First things first Fam. Let’s get this straight… One most significant victory that Jesus Christ died and rose to win for you is VICTORY OVER THE POWER OF SIN. So, as a follower of Christ, yes you will be tempted to sin, BUT you actually have all the power, capacity and ability to look sin in the face and say, “NO BRUH, NOT TODAY, NOT TOMORROW, NOT ANYDAY!”

SOOOO…. (you may be wondering) why do so many of us who claim to follow Jesus still struggle so much with sin? Why does it feel like we have no strength to say “NO!” to sin?

I’ll explore this #realtalk with you on this week’s #coachtoyinsboomtips 😬.

DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE😎? The primary reason that many of us who follow Christ are still so broken by sinful lifestyles is this: WE GAT NO CLUE WHO WE ARE!

You see, following Christ is all about restoration of identity:
👉 In the beginning, God created man in His image and likeness. We had ‘the God-life’ and identity
👉 Adam and Eve sinned and they ‘fell’ from God’s image (fell short of the glory of God) into the nature and kingdom of sin (which nature births decay and death)
👉God sent His perfect solution, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for sin so that all who believe in Him are delivered from the nature and kingdom of sin
👉 All those who choose to believe in Christ are restored to that original ‘God-identity’

You see? Being a Christ follower is all about I-D-E-N-T-I-T-Y. If you understand that you have been restored to God’s nature, you will understand that the sinful acts that you get tempted to fall into are OUTSIDE OF WHO YOU ARE! THEY ARE BENEATH YOU, AND YOU HAVE THE POWER TO SAY, “NO BRUH, NOT TODAY!”😎💥

Sadly, so many of us genuinely believe in Jesus Christ but we do not understand what following Christ means for our identity😭 so we carry on ‘falling’ into sin as if we have no choice in the matter! But we do💥.

Do you know who you are? Do you want to find out? If so, DM me and I’d be happy to use one of my coaching programs to help you to find your identity in Christ, so that you can discover the power within you to say “NO BRUH” to sin😉.

BECAUSE YOU MIGHT STILL BE FEEDING THAT ‘THING’ THAT’S KILLING YOU🤔. In my line of work, I often get folks come to me who genuinely love Jesus but are struggling with this or that sin. When we dig deeper, we find that though they really want victory over that particular sin, they are not doing anything differently to what they used to do before. They are still feeding the ‘thing’ that they want to be free from.

Are you still feeding that habit that you want to be free from? Are you still hanging out with the same people who encourage that activity? Are you still hanging out at the same spots, swiping through the same social media handles, watching the same shows on Netflix, answering the same calls, replying to the same WhatsApp messages that kept you stuck in that sin? Yet you want to be free of it😭?

Jesus came that you may have AND EXPERIENCE the power to say “NO BRUH!” to old sinful habits that were the product of your old sinful nature. YOU ARE FREE! But if you keep surrendering yourself back to those habits by feeding them, you become a willing slave😭. You need to learn to starve your areas of weakness and feed your new identity in Christ. I’ll talk more about that on the next tip❤.

P.S if you want me to coach you to help you to learn how to stop feeding that ‘thing’ that is killing you, DM me 😉.

THE ULTIMATE SIN-EATER 😮. Ever heard the Bible verse that says “Your Word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You”? How about the one that says “How does a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your Word.” 💥💥💥

The ultimate sin-eater in your life is God’s Word. BOOOOOOOM! Now remember, God’s Word is what we read in the Bible, AS WELL AS what we hear in our spirits when God speaks to us. You want to experience the victory over the seeming compulsion to sin? Meditate on God’s Word (Bible) and learn to fine tune your heart to hear God’s voice (yes, He speaks to you so readily) and to obey.

Frame your world with God’s Word and you will experience the power it gives you to say “NO BRUH!” when you are tempted to sin.

P.S if you want me to coach you to help you to learn meditate on God’s Word and hear His voice, DM me 😉.
